Tom Gresham's Gun Talk, gives THR a shout out, with his interview with Larry Correia. Who happens to be my new favorite book author, and I didn’t know he was a MOD here 20 years ago. Anyways, great read here, "In Defense Of The Second Amendment” very easy to read and understand.

I just bought this book today. I already have most of his other books.

I really enjoyed his Monster Hunter International series.

I have been on the fence whether I want to try his in Defense of the Second Amendment. I am sure it would be good but if its just a basic book I probably have read/heard it before. So for you that have or are currently reading it, I would ask is it good? Is it in-depth and nuanced or is it simply a rehash of the usual pro-2A arguments?

I thought the same thing. Plus (at least in my opinion) the second amendment is something that a lot of people don’t use facts or logic on. Still, I figured that I’d support Larry on a good topic.

It's very much the same things we already know but it is presented with reasonable arguments and with a good dose of Larry's sarcastic humor.

To me, it really is a book meant for fence sitters and people who are new to supporting the second amendment, but I did enjoy reading it and have shared copies of it with several people who either aren't really active in the gun community or could best be described as tolerant and they all seemed to come away with a new, in my mind better, perspective and understanding of the issue, or at least those who have actually read it already have anyway.

Did you know that Larry sold his 1st books here on THR!

Just everyday working folks like me, you, and members. Doing what we love and making a career out of it

I did know that, I bought one of those self published books way back then. I was actually still in high-school back then, sadly I completely lost my access to that old username and couldn't recover/reset the password since I used my high-school email address. He is basically the only reason I started reading any Sci-Fi and got into tabletop games.

I heard about Larry’s fiction work but laptop gaming too?

Yeah I remember when Larry was here, he and Mike Kupari wrote some books together that they also pushed here first. MHI was a ton of fun, as was the Grimnoir Chronicles, although those just kinda... ended.

According to Larry, there are more Grimnoir books coming out, and he has a few short stories and Audible in that world that are already out. MHI is still ongoing with a bunch of books out.

And the "In Defense of the 2nd Amendment" is good, even if we know most of it already. Larry has a way with words and making points clearly.

I like supporting author, especially with like minds. I’ll pick up a few more of his book. Remember, reloading manuals and books are EMP proof!

I’ll have to check that out. Larry is a great writer and I have most of the stuff he’s published.

One of the two authors I just buy whatever they have come out because I know I’ll like it. The other is Peter Nealen
