I just added a commercial ACS on a commercial six position tube and there is a slight amount of rattle I want to eliminate. I was thinking acra glass . Any suggestions?

When I bought my carbine, I too found the looseness in the stock annoying, and the rattle pegged my cheapo-meter.

I bought a rubber slip on butt pad, and that served to quiet the rattle and made the stock seem less cheap.

After using the rifle a bit and getting used to the way it handles, my annoyance at the loose feeling has gone away.

The adjustability of that stock is a huge bonus. It fits everybody, and my wife shoots that rifle far better than any other for that reason alone.

Buy the rubber pad, and use the rifle a little bit. I'm betting you will learn to love that stock like all the rest of us did.

If you must... magpul makes some nice upgrades for the AR furniture.

You can add electrical tape to the inside of the stock body. A piece at 12 o'clock and another at 3 o'clock will reduce rattle in 2 directions.

Switching to a milspec stock and tube works too. I've seen way more variation in commercial tubes as opposed to milspec.

Yes, the ACS has a friction lock. On my two ACS-L equipped ARs, there is barely noticeable movement without the lock engaged, and absolutely none with it. Mine have mil-spec stocks and tubes. I don't know what to tell you.

With friction lock on there is maybe 4/1000ths slop. Not perfect and not horrible. I have an ACS on another rifle and it was so tight at first I had to wax it and now it is perfect. Maybe when it cools off for hunting season it will tighten up a hair.
