I have a Tikka T-3 Lite stainless/ syn, in .308, that's about 4 months old. Mounted a Nikon 3x9 40 scope onto the included factory ring mounts. After about 20 rounds of factory ammo, the scope creeps forward, about a 1/4 -1/2". The first time,I figured that I didn't tighten the rings enough. The ring mounts fit onto a dovetail groove on the receiver, and all the screws are allen. The next time at the range, it happens again! This time, the rear mount where it secures to the receiver slid forward, pushing the scope thru the front ring. I took everything off, and wiped the scope and rings with denatured alcohol, and much to my surprise, the screws that tighten the ring mount base, onto the receiver rounded out. Called Beretta, and the cust rep never heard of this problem, and had no replacment screws in this country!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to be ordered from Finland.

The rifle is fantastic, but it has no open sites, so without the scope it is useless. The rep wanted me to send him the ring mounts, and I asked if he could send me replacments, and when I got them I would send the others back. He said that Beretta does't do that and he didn't have the mounts anyway. So I asked him what he would do with my mounts, and he said that they would sit there until he got the replacments from Finland!!!!!!!!!!!
(He had no idea how long that would take!)

Has anyone on this forum with a Tikka T-3, and factory ring mounts had a similar experience?
