Tikka T3 sporter?

I really want a nice accurate rifle, and I was thinking about a Tikka T3 sporter. Right now they have one in .260 rem, I have no experience with this caliber. Any thoughts? What are your experiences with this rifle and this caliber? Thanks.

I can also wait for one in 6.5x55 which has much more ammo availability here in Uruguay. What do you think?

It sure is . I have not much experience with rifles, as I currently own only two, one in .243 and a 7x57. So which one shoots flatter? 6.5x55 or .260 rem? Sorry for my ignorance.

Here is my take on it........the 6.5x55 is the long version and the 260 is the short version. They are almost twins, just one is taller.

I have 4 260's one is a Sako 85 in 260 and it is a superb firearm shoots 1/2 MOA all day with H4831SC. I would not purchase the 260 with a 20" barrel though. Having never owned a Tikka I can't tell from thier web site if they make it in both lengths. That T3 would be one sweet rifle in a 24" sporter.
