Is the installation of the Timney Impact Trigger in the AR lower really that hard?

They can be had for $140 and the reviews are great, except for the few people who complain about how hard it is to install due to the set screw location being under the spring legs.

For a $60 savings, I'd be willing to fuss with it a bit.

Anyone have experience with it.

The installation of a Timney trigger is simple with just a little patience.
The lock screws are where the patience is needed. I've installed many Timney triggers and the problem can be that there's threads on the side of the housing and might want to cross thread. Just keep in mind that no pressure should be needed to start the screws.
I use a pick or small screwdriver to move spring leg towards the center, use some grease to hold the screw to the Allen wrench. Lean the top of the allen wrench ever so slightly to the center until the screw touches the seat and then bring top of wrench to directly above screw. This will make the threads mesh up. If any resistance is felt, turn screw backwards a half turn and try again. Just use a soft touch and all should go well.

I bought a 3 lb Timney for my AR-15 in 2013 and installed it. Used a dental pick to move springs to the side when installing the screws. It was pretty easy and I’ve got short, flat, clumsy fingers.

I don’t know if its the same trigger as the Impact.
