I recently bought a tipman m4 22 for my youngest granddaughter to shoot pins and steel challenge. after breaking it in with a Bushnell trs 25 with 4moa dot I decided to try putting a scope on it to test for accuracy. as for reliability I tried rem thunderbolts, fed auto match (several of my 22 will not function with this), Winchester T22(mil target ammo), CCi standard velocity, CCI mini mags, and Aguila standard velocity. I had no failures that could not be attribute to ammo malfunction. there were a few fail to fire but they had a deep indent on the rim. As for accuracy. the first time I had it out with the red dot I was hitting a 4inch steel plate at 100 yrds with no problem. my 8yr old granddaughter was hitting pretty much everything she shot at. After my first range trip I decided to mount a scope and see what I could get out of for accuracy. The win t22 grouped 10 rounds in less that 1.25 in at 50yards. the cci mini mags around 2 in. the bulk was all under 3inch. In recap the good it functioned 100% with everything I fed it, accuracy was better then I expected, controls are all ar 15. Factory Iron sights are standard AR BUS and stay zeroed after several folding and redeploying. Only downside I can see is the milspec trigger. I will be replacing it, it functioned fine but the 6+pound gritty pull and long rest and overtravel just don't cut it for me. Overall I like it. I am impressed with the reliability and accuracy of it especially for the cost.

Thanks so much for the great review!

I am very interested in one of these.

I have one and its been a great plinking gun. I run CCI mini mags and SK Semi Auto through it as it doesn't seem to like the cheap bulk ammo. Also, the top of the magazine and the follower needs to be clean or you can get a a failure to feed. It's a quality weapon and the company's warranty is top notch. I had a minor issue and they paid shipping both ways and returned it fixed in a little over a week.
