Im 17 years old and have been shooting for about 3 years and have never had an accidental discharge or any careless activity surrounding guns. However my parents won't give me permission to buy any more than i already have. I wanted to buy a Mosin Nagant and i mentioned how cheap they can be bought for and how cheap ammo is for them but they still shot it down. Does anybody have any tips on persuading parents to allow their children to purchase their own guns? This question may be border line inappropriate and if it is go ahead and lock it. Suggestions?

Since you can't buy the gun then their permission means nothing. Just wait the one year.

Mosins aren't going anywhere. The Russians built millions of them and they're being imported for resale by the boatload. Just save your money until you turn 18. Until then, just be a good kid and maybe your parents will change their minds.
