Absolutley nothing. Today I decided I wasnt going to carry and I was just fine. In fact it was much more comfortable without the weight of a gun in a weird sense I felt more free without it. I know alot of people will probably think its bad to not carry but it was a nice break I didnt worry about it bumping into things, and didnt have to worry about public flashings. I thought I would feel naked without it, I usually do but today I didnt carry all day and it was nice. I could move in any matter I wanted it was great I also didnt have to do the hole dress around the gun ordeal.

Wow. You mean the evildoers in society haven't been watching you, poised for attack and just waiting for that one day you went unarmed. Crazy. I'd have thought you'd have met your end today.

C'mon, man. This thread is 100% unnecessary. None of us carry because we expect something to happen if we don't. We carry in case something does happen. For most of us, nothing ever will, and we're thankful for that. But Knowing that the odds of a healthy, physically fit 26 year old male like myself who lives and works in a rural community being a victim of violent crime is beyond unlikely won't stop me from packing each and every day of my life.

I think you need to sit back and very carefully examine the reasons you have carried in the past and didn't today and decide which way to go in the future. But none of us need to know the what's and why's of that decision.

I know what you mean about comfort. Today I drove around without a seatbelt. It felt great, like I was more free! Besides, if I was to get into an accident, I'd rather be thrown clear and roll to safety.

I plan on completely changing my life to further remove all uncomfortable and inconvenient safety precautions.

I wear a P99QA IWB at 2:00 and sometimes forget it's there. I can't imagine worrying about it bumping into something and the weight is not an issue. Sounds like a smaller/lighter gun is in order, but I'm not one to question another's decisions that don't impact me or mine.

Yes it could be but thats just a matter of perception I think I might have had a breakthrough in my need for a carry weapon Im not saying Im gonna quit carrying all together but I think there will be more days inthe future that I dont.
I think you need to get a smaller gun.
Yes I do and its in the working.

A Shot In The Dark

I deliberately didn't read the O.P.
Based on the title alone either he got killed (highly unlikely) or absolutely nothing happened

EDIT
DAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN I'm good

Today I didnt carry and quess what happened.

Absolutley nothing.

I didn't renew my home owner's insurance and guess what happened?

A few days later a Tornado took off the roof and laid the walls over.

Now I keep up all my insurance.
You never know when you will need it.;)

someone my nephew knows had his ccw and decided to be more comfortable this past weekend.

he and a friend of his were standing outside the music studio where my nephew first met him talking late at night.

he was murdered with his friend for 2 dollars and a 15 year old car.

there is no way to know if he could have saved himself, but the first shot didnt kill him. but the follow ups he took in the head did.

true story, less than a week ago in garland tx.

glad it wasnt on the night my brothers son met him. i wish it had not happened regardless.

i wish he had been carrying, maybe still same result, key word, MAYBE.

I don't see anything wrong with not carrying--because it's your choice and it's a free country.

On any given day, unless you live or travel in a hellhole, you probably won't need the gun, so it's a fairly rational choice.

How can someone decide if someones thread is useless any ways MachIVshooter I looked at some of your threads and they all appear to be a hundred percent useless for me.

FlyinBryan - that nonsense was all over the local news. Damn it damn it damn it...he SHOULD have been carrying.

Lesson learned for all of us.

Just because it isnt comfortable, doesnt mean its not necessary.

Ronstar, I'm glad that you don't let anyone else's opinion bother you. I support your decision to not carry a concealed weapon. That decision evidently simplified your life and made you feel more comfortable, and I applaud you for it.

The legal ramifications of having to use my piece are the biggest downer for me. Plus, I don't have CCW permit. So, getting caught carrying concealed would be a downer too.

Hey, I hear where you're coming from, especially now that it's more likely to be hot and humid, and concealment becomes a bigger bother. Only you can evaluate your circumstances, and if you think it's just too much of a PITA on any given day, that's just fine.

Just know that your family has to stay behind with us when you leave the cult... :D

Seriously though, do whatever you're comfortable with. I'm a little wierded out that you're making this sound like a huge revelation.

I think of concealed carry the same way I think of the spare tire in my car. I may never need it, but it's there if I do.
Your decision to carry or not to carry, is your business, and your business alone. Anyone who makes themselves part of your business, is out of bounds, and should mind their own business!

I sense humor in the OP

I did not wear a condom when I was 18 and nothing happened because my partner was protected. As a responsible adult, I had a vasectomy and I a carry a .45.... nothing has happened.

I also rolled through a stop sign...
Ran with scissors...
walked under a ladder...
broke a mirror....
My palms do not have hair and my eyes are just fine.

I can't get a break in this life.
