Tommy Theis Holsters...Very fast service!

Today I received the holster I ordered from Tommy Theis. Amazingly, just 6 days after I placed my order.
To start off, Tommy answered my initial questions within an hour of my sending him a question via his web site. Later that afternoon I placed my order; that was Wednesday 16 November. As I said it was delivered today.

The holster fits my Sig P239 like a glove, just as it should. I haven't had the chance to wear it for any length of time, but I expect it to work well.

Thanks for the heads up; there is no such thing as too many holster makers. Looking at the pictures, I like how (compared to some others of its type) the holster is more proportionate to the size of the gun being carried in it, as well as being undercut to allow your second finger to slide up under the grip. On the down side, he doesn't appear to offer an OWB mag carrier. And did you order it with the plastic or metal clips?

I ordered mine with the metal clips. Plastic J clips are also available and perhaps are better for some uses. When I wore my 5.11 web belt, the metal clips didn't hook under the belt because the belt was too wide. I switched to my leather belt and they work just fine.

Perhaps the reason for such fast service is that he doesn't have as extensive a product line as others. I already own a paddle type of OWB magazine carrier so never inquired as to availability.

Ask; perhaps he can accommodate you.

I have a holster by Mr. Theis. I like it. I got horsehide with metal clips. Only complaint I have is that it still squeaks a little. Other than that, it's broken in nicely. I find that 4 o'clock with normal cant is the sweet spot.

Just don't contact him asking for advice/options. His response was fast but useless, "just go to the website and order one". I didn't order, will probably go with CrossBreed instead. Plenty of time to decide and wait for delivery since winter is upon us and cover garments are less obvious this time of year so I can keep carrying OWB for now.

I have one for my 26/19 and I couldnt be happier. Service was quick and a great value. As for the squeaking a little baby powder hushed mine up.

I tried the baby powder trick and it doesn't work. I've been wearing mine daily for the past 3 months, so I'm fairly certain it's broken in. I've caked on a lot of baby powder, but it still squeaks a little. I don't really mind the noise anymore, though.

Tommy read this comment and contacted me to talk about my experience. Turns out he was dealing with something heavy and personal when I made my inquiry. It takes a sincere professional to address complaints head on like he did with me. Please take this into consideration when contemplating my initial complaint.
