I received my new MPA PMR Pro II last week. In the evenings after work I've gotten the other pieces installed: Vortex Razor, Area 419 Harris bipod clamp kit, Hellfire brake, etc. I have prepped brass sitting waiting to be charged. My local range just installed steel targets at 500 yards. All good.

On the other hand, work has been nuts, travel schedule has encroached on multiple weekends, family and church responsibilities have devoured my non-work evening hours. I haven't been to the range in a couple of months, and won't have time this weekend even to measure to the lands and load my initial rounds. I'm still a few years from retirement, but it's sounding better all the time.

Anybody else too busy to shoot?

Yup, but only because it's hunting season.....

Next couple weekends I'm chasing ditch chickens in SW KS, then our rifle season opens for deer, then ditch chickens, etc. etc.. Once that's done it's coyote time...Other than indoor IDPA matches I won't be "just" shooting till after the seasons are over.

I'll still step out back to launch a couple, verify zero's etc. But the practice/testing won't start again till spring.

Yep. Recently I talked my wife into letting me fulfill my dream of buying an old muscle car project. Haven’t loaded or fired a round in almost 2 months now. My son and I used to try and go every other weekend. Haven’t even purchased a hunting license this year.

I spent hunting season too sick to get out but had a friend getting me to the range twice weekly. Now that I’m back to work, I’m lucky to make it every other week. Got a new pistol in transit, a never fired rifle or two in the safe, and not sure when I’ll get to them.

I NEED to go
I WANT to go

A month in the hospital
Coming up on 2 weeks at home on O2
Can barely walk across the house

No Cowboy Shoots, no range time, no hunting for me, for probably months.

Company Dr put me down today to be off and check back in, in 30 days.

May have to drag the AirSoft pistol and pellet trap out. Wif is not going to be happy, though.

Hope you guys all get some much deserved hunting/range time.

Ive been busier these last few years than id like, but no, staying sane means i spend SOME time behind my guns (since i cant afford to buy projects and tinker.) On a regular basis.
Thankfully my wife's pretty understanding, even if she thinks target practice is a waste of money lol. Hunting she agrees with as long as i dont go too long without killing something.

Not so much "too busy" as "too poor". Now that inflation has become supercharged I'm just trying to keep up with the things I have to pay. Poor job choices have come back to bite me in the behind now that I'm in my 60's. A while back I cleaned and put up all of my firearms except what I carry.

School's got my busier than ever. I needed something to keep me busier than before, it's.. hard staying in my room surrounded by her ghosts. 6 years and several dollars. Anyways.

I've been chasing a degree in electrical engineering, and a minor in mathematics. This semester I finish my minor by taking Principles of Mathematics. I passed my halfway point in engineering by taking Intro. Electromagnetics (lecture ,lab, seminar), Econ. for Engineers, and Circuits.

Because I'm trying to avoid some hurt, I spend most of my day in school/ library.

My range buddy passed away anyways , hard to find motivation to go. It's been a rough year.

Oh yeah, April thru November is my busiest diving time. So even though I carry my handguns with me daily, they rarely get fired during my busy season.
I’m looking forward to develop some new 357 and 44 mag hunting loads! Along with the range time to develop and the hunting time to prove. I need to put some venison in my freezer!
I was hoping primer availability would have eased up a bit by now, but so far no luck (for me) in eastern NC.
To those that have been sick, may God bless your speedy recovery.

Pics please :):):)

Now that we have daylight saving time over, my available shooting time is limited to weekends. It's possible I'll get some time to shoot. In fact, I'd gotten up this morning with the intent to try out some .22 ammo I'd picked up last weekend, but it's gusting wind at about 25mph with 35 degree temp. Had everything laid out last night to get an early start before mama bear and the cub woke up.

Now it's all put back, got another cup of coffee and some fuzzy socks and waiting for noon when the football games start.

I have spent a good number of days tinkering. Having 7 weeks off for the ‘rona and on oxygen gave me time to fix quirky pistols, tune magazines, clean magazines (yuck!), and got me excited for the next range day with each, knowing I might see improvement for the effort.

We spent the last of August and the first three weeks of September preparing for harvest. We finally got some corn under 24% on September 24th. Mrs and I, our three sons, and two very talented retired truckers spent 6½ days/week (I rarely miss church) for the next seven weeks in the field. 20211108_165323.jpg
I have been an avid shooter, hunter, and competitor in several shooting disciplines since I was in my teens.
I start getting withdrawal symptoms if I don't get to shoot every once in a while. :(:cuss::fire::barf::confused::mad:

I can ease the pain a little by reading posts and seeing pictures by members of THR!

Keep em coming..its good therapy for those of us that can't get out there,...for whatever reason!.

Just coming off my after surgery restriction, and I have a four month list as long as my arm, just to get caught up enough to step outside and shoot. I am working on ways to combine farm work and shooting. Example, trimming my 800’ long driveway’s pecan tree’s higher, low limbs, with the 28ga Citori reloads.

Daylight Saving (no “s”) Time is over, we are back on Standard Time now. The time switched in the middle of my elk hunt last week; shooting light was at 7:58 am one day, and 6:58 am the next. I prefer Standard over Saving any day.

Been too busy to shoot much since my part time job went full time for a 2 month contract. Now it is over, and I will be able to shoot. Didn’t pull the trigger on an elk this season…saw some, but too far away or on private land.

You're right. Edit to reflect correction. I don't much have a preference, but just picking ONE of them would be better than switching.
