The answer is really quite simple.

Instead of the media spending weeks harping on and on about "why" and "how" there should be a two-day all-out media blitz showing the shooter's mother telling us all about how he wet the bed until he was 19 and his ex-girlfriend describing his poor performance in the sack.

I'd say once it became common knowledge that the attention you were hoping to get was going to come in the form or ridicule and shame, you might just get back to trying to find that cure for cancer.

so you want a mother to bash her dead child and a girl to admit she dated a mass murderer?

It sounds like a good idea on paper, but I am not sure how well it will actually work.

Are we just immune to the words "crazed" "madman" "psycho" "mass-murderer" cause last time I checked they were a put down and many newpapers and tv broadcasters give these labels to these types of people.

We are now using Man Made Disaster and World Wide Contingency Plan rather than Terrorist and Global War on Terror so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if those terms would be stricken from the lexicon.
