Unless you can pinpoint the day....

you're going to stop shooting, or die, no. I reload my own so I won't run out.

Now. Is there such a thing as too much brass, bullets, powder or primers?

Nahhhhhhhh.

Bulk Ammo Buy

First - thanks for all the responses. Given the overwhelming answer of "NO WAY - no such thing as too much ammo" - I don't have the time to reload my own (nor knowledge or equipment at the time) - where is the best place to order bulk ammo???

Thanks.

When my missus asks me if I really need as much ammo as I have ( over 30k of various calibers and rising) I have a ready reply. I walk her into the walk in closet where her jewelry armoire is and ask her if maybe she has too many items in it and state perhaps we should not only quit adding to it but perhaps liquidate some of her holdings. This usually does the trick.

If the dems have their way, we'll have to have an 'arsenal' license for 1k rounds or more.

Just look at 7.63x39

A few years ago a case of 1000 rounds was $80 dollars.

Now 1000 round cost around $170 dollars.:what:

Buy all the ammo you can now!!!!

There's no one place to buy bulk ammo. Many online site have minimum orders or bulk discount. It kinda depends on what you want, i.e. new vs. surplus. find about a dozen or so sites, and a half dozen good ones, and comparison shop. These will get you started, but are by no means all inclusive. Shop long enough, and you get an idea of the "right price" for you ammo.

Well, my wife currently has over 1000 rounds of match grade .308 in her personal stash and will tell anyone who asks that she needs more. Lots more. So that's a good thing.

As far as "too much" goes, as long as my F-350 can still roll when loaded up I'm pretty sure that I'm under the limit.

I have some SD ammo for each of my guns, then I keep 500-1500 rounds of practice ammo (a little less practice ammo for my shotty). I can't see any reason to keep more than that.

Do all of you reload your own ammo - is that the "only" way to go?
Not the only way to go, but definitely the best. :D

Only problem with reloading is that you have two inventories to track--finished goods and components.

when you can build your ammo collection higher than you then yeah its probably too much :p

While I've got a little extra money, I'm planning to lay in stores of my most-used WWB and Sellier & Bellot (9mm and .45ACP) while I can get it cheap locally (as cheap as I can find online).

I'm not paranoid about Democrats, I'm scared of prices continuing to rise (due to various conflicts, metals prices, the dollar getting weaker, etc.).

in all seriousness, with the way the world is hurtling, and the amount of practice, you need to have to be almost closed-eye , intinctively proficient with them, no.
That being said, i like to make sure my bed allways has kind of a floaty , off the gournd feeling to it.
