I have decided that I have too much free time and spare money, so to remedy this situation I'm going to build an AR-10. I've got a Mega Ma-ten upper and lower receiver set on the way. That includes the charging handle, takedown pins and a threaded bolt catch pin.

I think I have the stock assembly and barrel figured out, but I keep seeing conflicting reports on the LPKs. It seems like the only parts that are different between an AR-10 kit and the AR-15 kits are the takedown pins and bolt catch pin. Since these are included with the receiver, can I use an AR-15 LPK to finish my lower?

Yes, an AR-15 LPK will include everything you need to finish the lower. I've looked into a build on one of these myself.

What Barrel, BCG, stock, and handguards, etc. are you going with?

I was thinking of building one with a 20" light profile chrome lined AR-10 barrel, an Vltor A5 stock, and the new Troy TRX-Extreme 308 free float tube myself.

there are some threads on ar15.com with a lot of info on the MA-Ten. Look in the "ar variants" section.

Henschman, This is going to be a dedicated bench/varmint gun, so I'm planning on a heavy Krieger barrel and a PRS stock. I haven't figured out the BCG yet, but I was leaning towards Fulton Armory's. I'm also still looking for a non-railed free float tube for an AR-10. I understand those are also different from the AR-15 becasue of a differetn pitch on the barrel nut. Correct me if I'm wrong.
