I took delivery of my Pro Carry today. I had had Galyans special order it, and I took 10% off it, and my Glock 30's total purchase price.

My Kimber is the blued model. So far I like it. Looks high quality. Salesman had a spare 47D he let me try in the Kimber, and it fit quite nicely. Have not shot the gun yet.

Most of my shooting experience/training is with Glocks, so I am not quite sure what to expect with this one. This Kimber is my first shootable 1911. I have a Colt 1911 that is unfired and will more than likely stay that way.

Congrats on your new 'baby'. I think you'll enjoy the Kinber, though you'll find the trigger to be quite different from what you're used to. We'll be looking forward to your range report. Enjoy:D

My daily carry gun is a Kimber Pro Defender II. Hope you are as happy with yours as I am with mine. Let us know how it shoots.

Lightsped,
Think of a handgun that will most likely fit your hand regardless of its shape or size, a handgun with a low bore axis, and a trigger that will make placing bullets on a target complete bliss. All of this is wrapped in a package that is very reliable. This is what you have in a solid 1911. You will enjoy your new found experience.

Congratualtions on the new Kimber. Let us know how the first range time is. I hope you find the zone that many of us 1911 shooters have found.

Some photos of my new Kimber.
Note: Camera is pretty old, so photo quality is lacking....
