and wow is all I have to say. This gun shoots like a dream. At 100 yards I was using a front rest only (i dont have sandbags yet) and I could see my heartbeat throbbing the scope up and down but I managed 2MOA out of it. I am rather impressed with the gun. A local store is trying to get rid of their browning rifles I guess for the new ones that come in. I got a price of $544 for the rifle and with everything said and done I left the store paying $634 for the rifle (a-bolt hunter), scope bases, scope rings, and a box of winchester. I was not sure what to expect as far as shooting the gun. It has a fair amount of recoil but I expected that being its a 6 pound 9 ounce gun. The recoil was every bit manageable though. I cant wait to get back to the range and especially for deer season now. My 30-06 might have been retired now.

A buddy of mine purchased a Savage 110 in 300 WSM last week. Stock had a couple of dents in it but overall it was 90% condition. He paid $269 for it.

We are taking that and my new 30-06 out tomorrow for sighting. Im anxious to shoot his rifle too.;)

i am thrilled w/ my 300 wsm... recoil is definitely manageable, even for extended shooting sessions, accuracy is great, and the power... hehe, all the power i need for prairie dogs! (ok, ok, you got me... some prairie dogs, and a lot of big game).
