Today, I took my newly purchased Century Arms WASR-2 (5.45x39mm) out to shoot at Manatee Gun and Archery Club. I have to say that the accuracy is way better than I thought. I had no problems standing (a little shaky too) and hitting an empty water jug at 50 yards. The recoil is very minimal, even with the gun being as light as it is. The furniture was a little lacking (as expected), but with some oil I got the handguard to look pretty decent. I swear the gun gets better with MORE use. Overall, a great buy!
I know, the range report is a little lacking, but here are some pics of the day.
A buddy's DPMS SAS in .308 (fantastic recoil)
Dead fire extinguisher (575 yards)
Steel gong and prarie dogs
Friend with his Savage bolt-gun in .308 (note the tacticool balaclava/mask)
Same friend shooting the WASR-2 (if look hard to the left you can see the barrel of an authentic Dragunov)
