I've currently got a debate on my hands. I came across a Smith&Wesson 908S in a local gunstore last week. Asking price is $400, used. Like the way it feels, looks, and the features, such as the safety decock.

However, one of my coworkers is currently putting up for sale a Glock 27 for the same price.

Both are in decent shape; 95%+. Smith is a little dusty, but nothing a good cleaning wouldn't fix. Glock has had less than 100 rounds put through it.

I'd like to pick up one or the other for a new CCW pistol; like something a bit smaller than what I'm using now for upcoming summer months. Right now, I'm sort of more leaning towards the Glock, as I like them and like .40 caliber. However, I've been told the 'Brick' can be a little unwieldy in .40-cal in the 'baby gocks' (one person's opinion). But would like to get feedback from anyone who has used one/both before.

I think you should go with the Smith because of the safety features you liked. If they make you feel good and competent then that is the gun for you.

I carry a 26 and I know I have to always be vigilant with it. In other words no mistakes. In the future you might look at the 9mm or the 45.

I did own a 27 but did not like it.
