Hello All,

I needed to get some plastic magazines for my AKM, so I went to a shop here. I know I have promised many of you pictures from here and thought this would be a good opportunity to take some pictures, unfortunately I used my camera phone, which isn't the best quality.

First: This is a gun that I couldn't Identify, guns here are usually nick named. Would appreciate someone tell me what it's called.

Second: I KNOW! Finger on the trigger, really can't force anyone (especially these guys) on safe habits, the gun was in a clear condition though

Fourth: AK Magazines, stacked like cans at a supermarket.

Fifth: :)

The Last one is a picture of the magazine installed on my AKM, it's plastic, I really like it, very solid but really light, I picked up six of these

Enjoy :)

Number One picture looks like a modified and suppressed G3.

It uses the same Ammo and similar parts to the G3, according to the salesman, it is not suppressed, although I also assumed it was suppressed

What's he asking for the RPGs...?

didn't think it would have been noticed :D it ranges from $500 upto $1500

First pic looks like a home-built short-barreled suppressed G3. Also I counted at least 2 RPGs in the 4th pic. You can see the classic venturi cone of one up close, and the front of another a few feet farther down the wall.

But the Mexican drug gangs that have these weapons must be buying them at gun shows in Phoenix...

That appears to be the tail end of an RPG, as previously mentioned by a few posters.

Dope

Can average Yemen citizen purchase these?

I'm not familiar with Yemen gun laws.

The average Yemeni would have a hard time with getting the RPG. Everything else shouldn't be any issue.

As many of you have seen, the shop has the RPGs available, but the grenades for it are almost impossible to find.

Surprisingly similar in the U.S.; I have a VERY gently "demilitarized" 83mm shoulder-fired Blindicide rocket launcher which I was able to order through the mail for $150 including accessories, blast shield and packing case, but no rounds for it. Of course, reversing the "demilitarization", such as it is, would be a serious crime.

What's gun freedom in Yemen like? Nice pics.

Gun freedom in Yemen has been hurt greatly over the last couple of years.

You are still free to carry whatever you want outside of the major cities. Now, in the capital, it's even hard to carry a concealed pistol, you should expect to have a hard time if you don't have authorization to carry in the capital (this authorization is almost impossible to obtain)

Compare this situation to just 3-4 years ago, my uncle and I stopped at a supermarket and he told me to wait in the car since he had an AK in there and didn't want it to get stolen from the car. I waited about 10 minutes till I got bored, picked up his AK, and went into the super market with it on my shoulder, the security guard looked at me (he was also carrying an AK) and said hello, it was very normal, nobody in the market even stopped to notice, it was pretty normal to anyone.

Now, carrying a firearm in the city turns heads and makes people worry. My country, like the US, has become under pressure from a neighboring country to tighten gun control. In my country's case, Saudi Arabia states that many of the terrorists in their country have obtained their weapons from Yemen.

Our government has successfully convinced people that guns are scary and they kill people, especially kids and women. Which is a shame in such a short period of time, people are afraid of guns. And like any country in the world, criminals still carry their weapons and attack their victims with or without guns.

A couple of months ago, a guy walks into a mosque and opens fire killing 10 people and injuring 15. At the end of all of it, the criminal was arrested. Had this happened 5 years ago, the criminal may have only been able to make one shot before one of the people in the mosque would have killed him with their weapon.
