What are your experiences with the parkerized .45 RIA 5" ?

Ive got one and I love it. works just as good as my GI 1911 never malfunctioned on me yet after 6,000 rounds.

I'm about 15,000 rounds through my oldest RIA. I don't think there are any concerns here.

Good to hear, very soon I am going to be picking up a RIA Tactical Model. After much thought and debate with myself between 9mm and .45acp I have decided to get it in .45acp. Glad to hear all the good reports about the reliability as that is all that really matters to me, and though the gun will not be used for carry or defense, an unreliable gun is a headache. Good to see that I should be headache free.

Mine is the GI. My CCW is right now a 3" M13 but I have on order a 2" 640 to replace the LCR (which replaced my 642-1). The RIA will be a truck gun for added firepower should the need ever arise. It is the 14 shot model.
