I've honestly always loved the idea of a Glock, always wanted one, USE to shoot them great before I bought one. After it taking years for me to buy one, usually because I found other guns I got a better deal on, about 4 months ago I bought a brand new G 17, with the tricijon sights installed.
Not to bash Glocks at all, infact posting this on the contrary, I shoot it horrible compared to how I handle my other handguns. I have shot it roughly 700 rounds, and no matter what I am always high and left. My groups are tight enough, about the size of a baseball at 15 yards, but 6-8 inches high and left.
I use to love to shoot my friends stock glocks. Infact early on, I would impress myself and others. They hit where I aimed. My friends G21 and I connected. Before I took shooting as seriously as I do now, I put 2 shots right through bullsye at 25 yards.
Since, I have bought mine, I do horrible and get frustrated. Infact, even during glock dedicated range trips, I have to bring other pistols, to check my poor shooting against. I am on with the others.
I have had other marksman check it, the sights are on. I have tried shooting the same glocks I used to love, and had the same problem. The problem is me.
I asked my local and favorite shop if they would take the glock for a brand new steel framed cz75. They said I could even keep the aftermarket sights, but had to give them 50 bucks. After a frustrating range trip on Monday, I asked them to order the CZ.
I am now worried, I am ditching the glock too soon? I could come up with the cash to buy the CZ outright, but would rather not. What do you non Glock haters have to say about my choice?
