I like it. It reminds me of something coming up...
I am due to take one of my children to a well child checkup with their pediatrician. This will be the first one since I have been keeping arms. In the past, we have always been asked, "Do you have guns in the house?" I know that this is per the American Academy of Pediatrics. I also know the next question is, "Where are they kept?" and then you get a lecture on gun safety.
My wife is dreading the appointment, because I said that I have two responses. First is, "Yes, and it is none of your business." The next is, "Yes, and it is on me loaded right now." I know, both are not very high road.
But, with this poster, I might have an even better answer. I am likely to ask him if he shoots regularly. If he says no, I will probably tell him (since I have been training my children) they probably know more about the safe handling of a firearm than he does.
I love it! Why are guns viewed only as a danger to children? In case of an intruder who wants to kidnap, rape, or kill them, they are lifesaving equipment! Maybe I should ask the pediatrician if he would like me to buy him a copy of this poster for his office (I am not going to hold my breath on that one!)
Sorry to ramble, I love this forum, and I like the concept.
