Does anyone have experience with the training DVDs from "Concealed Carry University" by Patrick Kilchermann?

A set of DVDs supposedly to educate the viewer (from novice to accomplished) in the why and wherefors of concealed carry, preparation, mindset, equipment choice, conduct before, during and after an armed encounter, when to act and how to act and what to say.

It looks inviting, but I am suspicious of infomercials and wanted to get testimonials I can trust.

Anyone buy this guy's stuff and find it educational? I am not looking to make myself a graduate of a real training program, but to get better prepared...at least with the right questions to ask, if not the answers.

Feedback, please?

I would peruse youtube. Theres tons of good info on there as well as tons of garbage. But if you sift through Im sure you can form your own opinions for free and get a broader sample.

Much of what you seek is available for less from prominent firearms trainers. Before spending about $200, try to find some free resources or low cost ones from established trainers in the biz for decades. You can find youtube videos from some of these names as well.

For example, Andrew Branca on legal issues https://lawofselfdefense.com/ which is online, or the ACLDN https://armedcitizensnetwork.org/ The Journals are free to read from the Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network and they do have dvds but those are available for members only.

Marty Hayes, https://firearmsacademy.com/, is one of the drivers behind the ACLDN but he also is a professional trainer and was a law enforcement officer.

Massad Ayoob has written extensively about it and his MAG-20 classes throughout the US cost slightly more than double of Mr. Kilcherman's video course. If I remember correctly, Marty Hayes has Mas Ayoob give his courses in Washington state on an annual basis. https://massadayoobgroup.com/

A lot of what you seek is also available quite cheaply as far as books, Rory Miller on mindset and violence, https://www.amazon.com/Facing-Violence-Unexpected-Rory-Miller/dp/1594392137

Mitch Vilos, Law of Self Defense in 50 States,
https://www.amazon.com/Self-Defense...rds=mitch+vilos&qid=1586802061&s=books&sr=1-1

Andrew Branca, Law of Self Defense,
https://www.amazon.com/Law-Self-Def...s=andrew+branca&qid=1586802106&s=books&sr=1-1

Massad Ayoob, Deadly Force
https://www.amazon.com/Deadly-Force...s=andrew+branca&qid=1586802139&s=books&sr=1-6

Massad blogs off and on at this site, https://www.backwoodshome.com/blogs/MassadAyoob/, and it includes lessons from self defense among other things. Mas is also generous in mentioning other trainers.

Grant Cunningham, covers a lot of topics and also a Firearms Instructor (also in the Washington State area or was)
https://www.amazon.com/Grant-Cunningham/e/B009437KFM?ref_=dbs_p_ebk_r00_abau_000000

John Farnam, long time firearms instructor, former US military
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=john+farnam&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
Useful free quips series, https://defense-training.com/

Tom Givens, retired leo and noted firearms trainer
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tom+givens&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
Training videos available here https://rangemaster.com/about/tom-givens/
He also has a free Rangemaster newsletter including back issues that cover important topics.

Dave Spaulding, former LEO and now firearms trainer
https://www.handguncombatives.com/#services
Some relatively cheap dvd training videos. https://handguncombatives.store/collections/dvds

There are a bunch more that have been there, seen the elephant, or been long time recognized firearm trainers for decades.
