This may not be the right forum but I'll try anyway.
I have a Remington 700 ML, which is a 50 caliber BP rifle. The problem is that the trigger pull is ridiculously heavy and firing it accurately is really hard. Would it be legal for a gun smith in Florida to change it, or would he get in trouble? I don't want to go searching for one if he has to turn me down on the job.

M700 ML/MLS(discontinued in 2004) triggers are known to be poor.
I think, but certainly am not sure, they use the same trigger as any M700. M700 triggers are adjustable.
"...Would it be legal..." No legalities involved. Trigger jobs are 'bread and butter' work for every smithy, everwhere. Frivolous law suits have caused the manufacturer's to sell their products with poor triggers.

Thanks Sunray
I'll ask around town today and fine one that can do the job. I'm not handy so I'd rather pay a smithy to do it right.
