How do their triggers compare? I'm thinking about getting one of the two in 9mm, and I prefer the CZ's decocker and polymer frame, but a short resetting crisp breaking trigger is more important to me.
I can tell you from my personal experiance the Phantom trigger is outstanding, but I haven't shot a SiG in years, and that was a P220. Did have a good trigger, liked that old .45...
226 Elites with the SRT trigger is simply one of the best DA/SA triggers in existance. Out of the box the CZ trigger has a pretty good SA pull, average DA pull ... the Sig SRT trigger is better in both respects. But to get a Sig with the SRT trigger, the price of admission is much higher ... for the cost of an Elite it SHOULD be better.

Well, that's a bit of an ambiguous question. What's better to you? If you don't know exactly what you're looking for in a trigger then you should figure that out first.
I can't say from experience, but I've heard that there are people doing great work on SP-01 triggers ... however I doubt it's reset will be as short as a SRT trigger. A worked trigger is probably going to lighter with a cleaner break. But then again, you could buy a Sig with the standard DA/SA trigger and have the SRT added for $100, and then have it worked by a gunsmith.
Which would be 'better', who knows? And the answer could change depending on what the operator likes.
I mainly want a short reset on the trigger because my "philosophy" with a full size 9mm is that I should be able to put out several rounds very fast to make up for its lower stopping power as compared to the .40 and .45.
My opinion on the effectiveness of 9mm vs .40 is not to be contested in this thread! The fact of the matter is that I care about short resetting, relatively light triggers on my full size 9mm's, and the purpose of this thread is to ascertain what best suits that purpose.
If you want a trigger job on a CZ, there is only one place to go, and that is czcustom.com, Angus' shop. I have handled his work, and his crew does a great job, triggers like glass.
