Trigger recommendations for AR15 preferably 2 stage

I guess I will be the detractor on the LaRue. I bought one to replace the ALG QMS in my Barrett Rec10. It was flat out terrible. As in worse than mil-spec. The QMS was better, and it is nothing to write home about. I replaced with Geissele and couldn't be happier.

I've run this trap before, trying to find something better AND cheaper than the Geissele for my purposes. It always ends up more expensive in the long run because I break down and buy another Geissele.

With that said, I plan on repeating my mistake (expecting different results of course) and trying the PSA 2 stage for my next trigger.

I think it's safe to say there must have been something wrong with your MBT. Every manufacturer puts out a dud every now and then, but the vast majority of folks who have the MBTs are pretty happy with them, and they certainly wouldn't be if the MBTs were usually worse than mil spec.

The only trigger I have that's worse than a standard mil spec is the PSA "Enhanced Polished Trigger" I have two of them and they are both terrible. I spent an hour playing musical chairs with those two triggers and a few mil specs in two different lowers because I couldn't believe that they were actually a downgrade. They averaged about a pound heavier, at a crunchy 7.5 lbs than the mil spec triggers I had laying around. Terrible.

My MBT-2S straight bow trigger, in comparison, breaks very cleanly at 3.5 lbs. It's a toss up for me between the MBT and the Velocity trigger I have in the AR I shoot the most. The Velocity Trigger would be another good low cost option for the OP, if he really wants a packaged drop in trigger, but it's not really any easier to swap out, and is harder to clean if you're shooting suppressed a lot.

The problem I've had with the 2 PSA Enhanced Polished NiB triggers were they would constantly double and triple and sometimes more. Fun for sure, but not stay at club fed fun.
