I recently saw a thread where a guy cut down a single shot 12 gauge NEF shotgun to make the ultimate cheap truck gun. I had an old 20 gauge Mossberg laying around that my cousin gave me a while back that I figured would make a great truck/beater gun.
So, I cut the barrel down to 20" (gives me room if I screw up anything) cut an inch off the stock and then re-attached the rubber butt pad, cut down the butt pad to fit the freshly cut stock. I am going to use a Hiviz snap on front sight rather than a bead to keep from having to drill and tap. I am also going to ream it out and tap it for screw in chokes which I will keep in the hollow area of the butt.
I know the rubber pad don't look so great, but I did it with a dremel and it will sit behind my seat, it don't need to be perfect just functional.
EDIT: The letters there are some kind of pawn code I think, but my cousin got it like that and I just haven't cleaned it off yet.
