OK guys i have a quick question i own a tt-33 and i am looking to buy/make a hi-cap mag for it

i was considering buying a ppsh-41 drum and welding a tt mag to the top but i am not sure if it would work

i would have to get a longer spring or some dummy rounds to fill up the mag once the drum is done pushing similar to the beta c mags

but carrying around a pistol with a drum that is bigger than the gun seems silly

any one have anymore (hopefully more practical) ideas?

thanks in advance Wyatt

The Luger drum was actually a drum adapted to a single stack gun. As the TT33 is single stack, get a drawing of the luger drum (or snail) to see how it was done. Don't go looking for a real one, they are $2000 up and please don't hack one.
The PPSH was double feed, so there wont be a much straightforward way to simply use that.

For some strange reason I don't like it when the loaded magazine is heavier than the gun itself.

Me thinks a "Plus 2 or Plus 3" type magazine floorplate might be more practical.....think about what glock did years agor with their magazine accessories.
Weldind a drum onto a single column mag sounds like a good way to cause malfunctions and /or breaks at the seam, metal fatigue and all that.Neat idea,though...
