Tube magazine or box magazine for bullpup?

With respect to a bullpup shotgun, which type of magazine is best for a home defense application: tube or detachable box? I have a Garaysar 12 ga w/ box mag and pump action I don't particularly like mostly because of the mag, and I'm thinking if I'm using pump action a tube-fed action might make more sense on such a platform? Which and why, or am I way off base? Thanks ...

I have heard , but have not tested, the fact that tube fed magazines will be more reliable if the shells are stored for a long time in the magazines. I have shotguns with both kinds of magazines but I don't leave the shells stored in the box mags for this reason.

The reasoning here is that, in tubular magazines the pressure on the shells is longitudinal while in box mags the shells are squeezed from the side and so lose concentricity.
