The huge Wanenmacher TULSA Gun Show with 4,000 tables will take place at the Fairgrounds in Tulsa, OK on Nov. 13 and 14th. This is said to be one of the largest if not THE largest gun shows in the U.S.A. Their 4,000 tables are all under one roof (eleven acres) and if you are able to go to this one, be sure to wear some very comfortable foot wear as you'll be walking a few miles up and down the aisles.
Their management is pretty good about not allowing such things as beanie babies, jerky and non-gun related stuff.
If you are searching for any gun/shooting related stuff, you should be able to locate it at this show and usually most prices are not too bad since there is so much competition there.

OK Danneskjold, I'll be there too, down on the lower level... Table 12LC12 in my meager attempt to sell a dang TON of empty brass in .223, 308, .30/06. 7.62X39 and maybe some 9m/m Luger cases.
I'll get rid of the entire mess even if I have to "almost" give em away.:banghead:
Already got rid of almost all of my other reloading stuff (equipment and components) due to some health issues. :(

I love the Tulsa gunshow and try to go there every year, only I'll be missing this one.

It takes me all day to get from one end of the building to the other, this is skipping the "Not for Sale" WWII displays, tables of bubba'ed guns, and the "cowboy action" tables. Also my feet are killing me by the end of the day and I usually have some grossly fat SOB in a Rascal run over my toes at some point (usually the first few isles), but I always come away with some great deals.

@ Blaster: Do you know of anyone that might have some good deals on a S&W 638? How about H&K P7 parts/accessories and 9mm defense ammo?

Nope Danneskjold, I'm not aware of any S&W 638's at good deals. I'm sure the parts for an H&K P7 are extremely rare but you never know what you may run on to at the Wanenmacher shows.

I'll be there trying to find a non-ffl that will sell me a Pmm Makarov.

Shouldn't be too hard?

How many private sellers are usually at these things?

S.O.Grunt, usually there are quite of few folks walking around with something to get rid of and quite a few tables with private sellers. However, with each show, there seems to be fewer and fewer of these folks. Good luck and hope you find one at a very good price. I'll have a table down on the lower level 12LC12 so be sure to stop by and at least say "Hey". I'm going to make a serious attempt to get rid of a "ton" of empty brass which will certainly cover my entire table so won't have much room to sell anything else.. See ya.
Bob

That's a whole lotta jerky .

No dude. They sell a whole lotta guns!

My first year I browsed for about eight hours, walking down each isle. I was glad to see the last row of tables. Then I saw I was on an upper level and that they had a whole nother level downstairs. I had to go home.

I'd never been beaten by a gun show before.

I'll be there with Grips, Magazines and a healthy supply of 2A Wristbands. Row 30 look for the 2R Banner.

I have a question. As a Texas resident would it be lawful for me to drive to Tulsa, buy a few firearms(pistols as well as rifles)and drive home with them? I had this discussion with my brother who is of the opinion that transporting them across state lines could be trouble. Just wondering.
Thanks, Dave

DJW, I'm not attempting to appear to be a "know it all/expert" but if you are an out of State resident at the Tulsa, OK gun show (or an out of State resident at any gun show), you cannot "legally" buy a handgun from an individual or even from a FFL dealer at the show and then take it back home with you. You could buy one from a FFL dealer at the show and he'd have to ship it directly to a FFL dealer in your home state where you could then pick it up if both FFL dealers are agreeable to this. That'd just be a huge pain in the axe though. You can buy long guns from an FFL dealer at the show though and haul them back home with you just so long as you buy them from an FFL dealer who will have you complete and sign a Form 4473. This is a Federal law and the contiguous State thing does not apply since it conflicts with the Federal statutes. Seems a lot of folks are not aware of these wacky laws or pay little attention to them.

Thanks Bob. Looks like my brother was right after all! Sure appreciate your input. I never even thought about what laws might be involved as I have a CHL and no intention of breaking the rules.
Best, Dave

wacki, if you do a search on their web site you'll be able see some pictures of the show they had last April. Search for the Wanenmacher Tulsa Arms Show and you will see them.

BB, you're in CO and have brass for sale? Whatcha askin' for the .223 & .30-06? I'm in the Denver area.

rondog, I'm kinda sorry to say that I have not established a firm price on any of my brass yet. Since I'm taking the entire lot (about 30,000 pieces) to hopefully sell at the Tulsa show, I will cruise the aisles at the show to see what the competition is asking for their brass and then price mine accordingly - somewhat lower of course. Most likely I will return home with a good supply and will post it for sale with a very decent price just to get rid of it. Thanks for the interest!!

Can someone post pics? I'd love to see this thing.
No cameras allowed, but there are plenty of pics here: www.tulsaarmsshow.com

We've been there a few times. It's the most outstanding gun show I've ever seen. Very few non-gun items (although one lady there sells vanilla extract from Mexico, and I always get a bottle for my wife).

It's 11 acres and something like nine miles of aisles. If you see something you want to go back to, WRITE DOWN THE ROW & TABLE NUMBER! Otherwise, you'll never find it again.

I went there a few years ago with the intention of buying a 28 ga 870. We looked at seven or eight before deciding on a nice 70's era Wingmaster. Try finding even one 28 ga 870 at most gun shows.

+1 on the write down the row and table number. That map in your head doesn't work for me at the Tulsa show.

Wellsir, if you'd be so kind as to send me a PM at that time, I'd appreciate it! If you think about it. I'm on here a lot, but many other forums too, and I might miss your FS post.

DJW,

I am not an expert either but I am sure that if you find a pistol you want to buy you can also find an FFL from your state there as well. All you have to do is if the FFL your buying the pistol from is not from your state, have them transfer it to one that is from your state, that is at the show and then buy it from them. I have not been to the show for several years but thats how they did it a few years ago.
