Hadn't had my Turk out in a long time so I drug it to the range Saturday afternoon.
After finishing up shooting handguns I remembered it was in the truck and got it out.
12, 10 & 8" gongs at 100 yards were too easy. Moved over to the 200 yard target. 12 & 10" gongs there soon became boring. Moved to the 300 yarder. 16" gong there was more challenging for the first couple of shots but no problem. All this with iron sights, off the bench but with no solid rest. Made up a game where I would shoot one gong at each distance then reload and do it again. So darn much fun I soon burned up the 70 round bandoleer of milsurp ammo I brought and have the bruses on my shoulder to prove it! (Got to put a recoil pad on it some day)
Really don't know how a guy can have more fun for less money. $50 rifle, $8 per 70 rounds.
I feel the need for a Nagant now. :D

You dont have a Mosin Nagant yet? Man you have got to get one of these babies. "Very Fun" guns to shoot.:)

I don't have a Turk, but I do have a Czech. Somebody must have replaced the barrel with a sewer pipe, but boy can she still shoot.

Man, I need to get her a new stock, though. I hate to drift the thread, but does anybody know where I could get another Czech stock?

Enjoy your new rifle,

Stinger
