My parents have a turkey coming in their yard and I was wondering what they could put out so to feed it.

They live on cape cod,so their arent many turkeys around to see.thanks for all the help

If it was a Tom or Jake I would feed it lead :) . But to answer your question here are the ingredients in a food plot blend by Wildlife Buffet. Giant Red Clover, Ladino Clover, Berseem Clover, Wrangler Alfalfa, Perennial Ryegrass, and Winter Rye. You can find this type of feed on the net just like you would be shopping for bird seed. Hope this helps.

Where my parents live there is a place to hunt and there are way too many coyotes where we live and very few turkeys. I would love to hunt turkeys though.

No Worries, we have plenty of birds around here to hunt and a lot of feed for them too. I don't know Mass. very well but they generally eat stuff off the ground. Seeds, dropped fruit (wrong time of year for that), and farm crops. That along with the list before is the best you are going to get from me. Maybe they have something at the NWTF website.

Good luck on keeping it around especially with the yotes. :)

go to your Friendly Farmer's Seed&Feed store and get either a 50# bag of hen scratch or a 50# bag of corn. Oughta run about $7 for the scratch; less for the corn.

Feed a coffee mug's worth a day. Sorta scatter it out a bit.

A turkey's diet includes grasshoppers and acorns.

:), Art

Spend a week in the woods with my daughter, we hear two, see one (at about 150 yards), and Phantomak47 has them eating out the bird feeder in the front yard. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
