What is the easiest way to verify twist rate in my tc venture weather shield 22-250? I saw them listed as both 1/12 and 1/10.

Twist rate should be stated on the barrel itself.

Or take a cleaning rod like A Dewey with a roller bearing in the handle. Get a brass Brush and mop to make a tight fit in the barrel. Match Mark your cleaning rod and insert till you get a 360 degree rotation. Match Mark your rod at the end of the action. Pull rod out subtract the length of your action. And should get a good idea what your twist is.

I’m sure there is a better way but that’s my redneck engineering for you.

I do this from the muzzle end. Pull a full rotation and just measure the distance.
