Was poking around on Sportsmansguide and was wondering if any one had one of these. I think it's pretty neat looking was wanting to start building an AR-15, but thought this would be cool too. What other parts would you nead for the Kit.

You can build one for less than what they are asking. if you go with this price it will be with a lower and tools about 1,000 dollars or more. And you don't know if you getting pieces that are brand new or have been used. IMO not worth it, if you shop right you can build one that is just as good if not better for less. Just because it military surplus doesnt mean its top notch it means that the company that made it was the lowest bid.

I also have figured out that the barrel still needs to be parkerized and front sight mounted henderson defense will do it all for you.

I think it is a cool way to build a "Retro AR15" like the M16A1 since you don't have to search for all the parts individually. I bought a surplus M16A1 upper sans BCG and charging handle a few years back to build my "Retro Rifle" and it is a fun gun to put together and to shoot. I call it my C&R EBR although I did have to use some commercial parts to finish the build.

I was wanting to turn my Bushy A1 Commando 11.5/5.5 into a a1 with a 20" pencil profile BBL complete with A1 stock and triangle hand guards. And guess where I could get the furniture cheep?

I think I may give it a shot I found the lower for not a bad price. I like the idea and the way the gun looks.
