U.S Navy Drill Team in Norway. amazing

In this case it is His Majesty The Kings Gaurds of Norway performing for an audience.

Just to keep this thread going and to spark some discussion, I find it interesting that the Norwegian Army chose the Garand as its parade rifle. Were ane units of the Norwegian military ever issued garands?
 
That really is impressive. I was in the US Army Band. I hated the parades and change of command ceremonies, but I loved doing the marching. We didn't do it to the extent of those videos though. Our main focus was recruitment and morale.

I was active duty military - went to basic just like everyone else, had to qualify with rifle like everyone else, had to pass the same physical fitness test, and go to the field like everyone else. We were soldiers first, then bandsmen. Some bands are more hardcore army than others.
 
I was on a NJROTC drill team (1972-1974), and the Great Lakes Naval Station drill team in 1975, and in both instances we used 1903 Springfields. In the Navy, we used bayonets on the rifles.
