Ah I received my collapsable buttstock from Sarco and installed it this evening. First off, let me remind all of you buttstock adventureres, don't forget about the buffer tube retainer spring! :banghead: After its flight over my cluttered work bench, luckily I found it in my toolbox after minimal searching. I have two spare parts sets, but I left them in Vegas and they won't be here for a month. So no more tinkering for me.

Here is the FAB-10 lower with the Sarco collapsable stock and a Bushmaster 11.5/5.5 A2 upper and a cheapie front rail and verticle grip. I used to have a gooseneck mount and a cheap BSA red-dot on it, but the red-dot is now on top of the SU-16 until I find a EOTech lying about my lawn somewhere. I found that the shortest setting on the stock would probably result in my eye bruising or at least too close for comfort. The 2nd and 3rd settings weren't bad. I found that the buttplate isn't as tall on these stocks and it was hard to get a good seat of the stock into my shoulder.

Until I get another FAB-10 (which I probably won't, so I will be waiting until the AR Is legal in the PRK again  ), I am putting the collapsable stock back in its box and keeping the fixed A2 stock on since this is mainly a squirrel gun with the 20" V-Match upper I have.

Feel free to post any ubertactical pictures of your FAB-10. Sorry, I left the fake Orlite 30 rounder off and should have attached it!

The pistol grip & collapsing stock doesn't make it one of dem dar evil childkilling A-ssault weapons?

Nope, the bayonet lug, flash suppressor, collapsable stock, or forward pistol grip are all legal because of its fixed magazine.

It actually shoots good. I had a 1" 3 shot group with it and its irons the other day. I had two flyers, but I was happy with it.

Hey Rojo, you need to slap one of these on it to see if it has enough recoil to collapse that stock for you :)

Pics taken out of Reward road at that little spot you and I have talked about.

There is effectively such a round, it's the 510DTC which is somewhat like a PPC version of the 50BMG. Neck angle is blown out slightly, neck length is shortened slightly, and body taper is slightly more straight.

Balistically speaking the rounds are almost identical but you can't chamber the 50BMG into something chambered for 510DTC nor can you chamber 510DTC into a 50BMG.

Was at the Ventura gunshow just about a month ago talking with the folks at EDM about the entire thing, they are the first to start offering rifles chambered for the DTC. When they were at a gunshow a few weeks earlier the DOJ tried to snag them on it and they quickly made the DOJ goofs look stupid. What's more, the guys at EDM had very good things to say about Darran at ALS who built my upper regarding how accurate it is.

The chances are that the 510DTC will catch on as reamers become more available along with dies.

The ALS upper is only 1600 dollars for the base upper with 33inch PacNor match grade barrel and choice of chambers, relatively decent price really.

As for slapping one of these on your FAB10, I sent you a PM concerning that.

Here's a picture of it's 3 shot test group that Darran shot before sending the upper, it's a milspec chamber to boot as I'm not sure what ammo I'm gonna be firing in it(mostly reloaded blasting fodder).
