Howdy,
Probably a very simple answer, but for a few days now, I cannot come up with the answer....
I just bought an 1875 Uberti Army Outlaw, 7 1/2" barrel (that's why it's not a Frontier), 45 Colt. Shot it a lot this last weekend, just to get the feel of it. Next weekend or so, it will be to zero the sights (best you can anyway on a fixed sight gun -- if nothing else, figure out where this girl shoots).
I noticed it on day one, and it has been bugging me ever since, on the rear of the cylinder, on consecutive chambers, it is stamped 1 3 2. As in, first chamber is stamped 1, next chamber is stamped 3, then the next is stamped a 2. Is there a meaning to this, some kind of reference, some kind of code involved? I've searched this and googled it, but it is hard to research. Lots of returned hits when you refer to a 1 3 2.... If the numbering were in order, or on every cylinder, I could start to reason it out, but this one has me stumped.
Thanks,
Suffolk
