Came across a Uberti revolver advertised as chambered in both 44mag and 44-40. Two cylinders of course.

With the large disparity in bullet sizes, I would suspect the 44-40 would suffer in accuracy.

Anyone had any experience with this gun?

I use the same bullet for 44-40 and 44 S&W Special, so I wouldn't expect any accuracy issue, one versus the other. Both are the same diameter as my heavier 44 Magnum bullets. My Uberti 44-40 is very accurate and that's one reason why I like to shoot it so much. It is an 1875 Remington Outlaw copy but I chose the shorter 5.5" barrel.

The original .44-40s had bore diameters of .427", compared to the .44 Mag diameter of .429", not too much difference there. But current .44-40 practice is to bore .429" so .44 Mag/.44 Special bullets work in any of the three guns.

With the large disparity in bullet sizes.........
