So its going to rain this evening but I am going to hunt. Which rifle would you get wet? Old school YUGO m48, Rossi Rio Grande 30.30, TC encore 30.06 with glass.

Whichever one I know I can make a clean kill with. A rifle is a tool. A little rain is not going to kill it, just make sure to wipe it down good when done and apply a light coat of oil if you want.

Is it mediocre glass that may fog? If so, eliminate that option immediately.

Depends on what you're hunting and what's the more accurate rifle of the three. A little rain isn't going to hurt anything, except maybe the scope if it's not properly sealed. You should have seen how wet everything use to get when I hunted waterfowl.
Just dry your rifle off, clean it when you get home, and give the metal parts a light coating of oil.

I would worry more about matching the gun to the game. There are no fair weather hunting rifles. Following hunting you perform routine maintenance on the rifle as in dry, clean and lightly lube before putting the rifle up. That's my take on it anyway.

Stay home with a bottle of John Powers. I don't get wet for deer,you can hunt almost 6 months in NJ for deer.
