Looking thru my collection my eyes keep being drawn to these guns, do you have any, guns you just can't get rid of for many reasons...
To Ugly...(no one wants them)

Heirloom Guns...( just can't dispose of)

Endearing... ( they somehow grew a attachment to you)

Ugly Gun Collector... ( :what:oh my...)

Do you have any? PICTURES REQUIRED... (Ugly can't be imagined, it must be seen...)
Here are mine...

Remington 742 , some engineer must have been on a LSD induced trip which included a Art Deco side step...

Beautiful wood and basket weave....somebody freaking screwed up the forearm design...:cuss:

Next is my 922... I'm sure I don't need to explain much here..

Just don't understand what they were thinking... but...

...somebody screwed up the final design by not developing a beautiful walnut birdshead grip for this frame/gun...:scrutiny:

The film Aliens has made me almost buy a vp70 several times (also resident evil 2).
it’s a odd ball gun! I sometimes carry it in the woods because of the Trigger Safety as in, you really need to pull the (not squeeze) the trigger if you want it to shoot. But, it feeds EVERYTHING

Lots of folks think 1911’s are beautiful and Glocks are ugly. Ive seen pretty guns fail and ugly guns work seemingly under any conditions.

I honestly don’t get what looks have to do with guns, but whatever floats your boat. I’ll take form, reliability, and function, over looks for any tool I need to rely on.

I do acknowledge you can have both, I’m just not much for looks being that important. Of course, I’m butt ugly myself, so maybe that sways my opinion…

YMMV.

Here's the quintessential "ugly" gun -- the M3 Greasegun. This one was originally a British Lend-Lease gun, that has been re-parkerized. It has had some M3A1 parts added, namely the barrel (with wrench flats) and the wire stock (with built-in magazine loader). It uses the M1 Carbine sling and oiler. The accessory flash hider is necessary to shield the firer from the huge fireball at night. The ejection port cover acts as the safety.

"Ugliness" is in the eye of the beholder. What we see here is about $20,000 worth of "ugliness." (Thank you, Mr. Hughes.)

Paul, what caliber is the 742 ..? Mine had the rounder forearm in 308.... It was very accurate and just a great bush gun.... That weave and forearm was available in the better grade 742 but seemed to create a negative effect in the mind of the hunting public... It was a great hunting arm or (if you choose the BDL) just another ugly show piece...

How is that Ugly??… Will have to disagree

I always thought this was the ugliest gun ever!
People bought these??

index.php
That's an example of people turning something ugly by ill-advised "improvements." It's like defacing a classic sculpture with graffiti. We can't go wrong if we respect something for what it is.

man!!! that thing is SO UGLY, my buddy bought one like 5-7 years ago, I handled it, and its even uglier in real life. He had quad rails on his!

Thanks Rule3.

You do understand once it's been looked at you can't undo the damage done with something like that!

Please, next time a little warning before you post any ugly gun photos!
yes a “Trigger Warning” would be nice!

^^^ I crack myself up!

30 06, I just don't know what they were thinking....maybe more weight up front?

I’ve got that exact same 742 in 30-06. It belonged to my dad. Never really thought of it as ugly though until now. Also have an H&R 922 that belonged to Dad. I have always thought it was ugly, but it shoots great.
My 922 shoots great too, but they missed the mark with a square butt grip on a birdshead frame...
