To whom it may concern,

I'm a little new to cleaning with an ultrasonic cleaner so forgive me if the questions sound dumb. Do you have to take sights off of guns to clean them in the fluid, I heard it will pull off the white paint from them. Also if I can put them in the fluid, can you place trijicon sights in the fluid without messing up the fluid in them that keeps them lit up? Lastly are there any particular fluids you'd recommend over others?

One of my slides got water on it and now has some surface level rust. Also trying to get the tight hard to reach areas clean as well.

I clean all sorts of parts in my cleaner. Works great. You have to rinse in hot water to help it dry faster. Blow it out and oil it with something that displaces water.

IF the sights are night sights and IF the luminescent paint is pulled off into the solution??? Hmmmmm......

The "ultrasonic action" will get between the movable atoms and the immovable atoms! Consider metal as immovable atoms and anything attached to it a movable atoms.

Paint and adhesive are movable atoms, use caution! Adjust the solution so it is below the level of the sights. :)

A google search may reveal cleaning solution results.

Smiles,
