Has anyone used an ultrasonic cleaning tank to clean a suppressor? Any ideas/tips?

I use one to clean the parts of my Sparrow. First I give the parts a soak in a penetrating oil, Marvel Mystery Oil is under $20/gal and seems to work nearly as well as Kroil did. Then I give it a run in the ultrasonic with hot water and my wifes dish washing detergent. Finally scrape off the remaining lead bits.
Makes the final scraping a lot easier than the penetrating oil alone.

On balance I wouldn't bother with the ultrasonic bath were I to do it again.

Be careful with aluminum and any parts with a finish.

In this thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=721762 didn't you use an incompatible alkali cleaning solution in your ultrasonic?
The ultrasonic merely speed up the damage. Aluminum and alkali solutions don't get along.
Once I'm sure there is no fire hazard, I may try penetrating oil in my ultrasonic instead of plain soap and water after a penetrating oil soak, which could speed things up a lot.
