Anyone know if there's a no drill kit to mount sling studs to a double barrel? Yeah, i doubt it. I'm just a little antsy about drilling into the barrel divider to tap. I have been using a slip over, but think studs would really be the deal on it in the woods or packin' into the pot holes. I use the one that came on my Mossberg a LOT. When you get out there, often, there's no dry place to lay the gun down when you're setting up the deeks. Then, too, I was once visited for a close encounter by a HUGE hog early in the morning and my shotgun was 20 yards away on the bank. I really like totin' the gun on a sling, then pulling the sling off for shooting time.

I've been doing that, works fine for duck hunting, but I'd keep the sling on while woods bumming and would wanna be able to fire with the sling on.

I called a smith today and think I'm going to take it over to him for the work. He says he needs to see what kind of barrel rib it has, but thinks he can just drill and tap the rib. I ain't got the cojones to drill into it, myself, LOL. Of course, I don't have a really good drill press for it, either. I drilled and tapped the barrel band on a Rossi lever gun once and it turned out danged decent, but I don't wanna be bangin' around between the barrels with a drill bit. :what:

Anyway, this gun's a real keeper and it's just a sling away from being perfect for my uses.
