Under-the-bed gun storage...

Ideally, I'd like to buy a stand-up gun safe but don't have closet space so have been tinkering with the idea of a secure way of storing my guns under the bed.

Does anyone make a flat, locking, metal storage container that I could store my meager home arsenal of 5 rifles/shotguns and 5 pistols in? It doesn't even have to be gun-related but ideally something made of metal and securely locking.

Got any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance...

I saw one a few years ago that was designed to fit under the average bed. It was a steel sheetmetal cabinet with a pull out, lockable steel drawer so that whatever was stored in it was easily accessible from the top. Looked like a good solution to me but I only saw it once and don't recall who made it.

I'm pretty sure I've seen one like Lee mentioned, but I can't find it now. You could probably get a Truck Vault and bolt it to the floor.

Have a welder weld up some steel plate into a box. My brother did that and my neighbor bought it for that. It doesn't have to be pretty just functional.

I looked and don't see any of the major gun safe makers even touching these.

I saw one once that was designed to fit between the studs (16" on center). That could solve your closet space problem and be consealed.

either in this thread or in the rifle threas ther is a guy who makes all kinda furniture, that doubles as storage. i d say they posted within the last 2 weeks.
