Underlug preference?

Revolvers I'm gonna carry alot? Half or none.
Revolvers I'm gonna shoot alot (just range/stand) I'll take a full lug.

It's just preference though. If all my other boxes were checked I could go either way. I have both half and full (and none) and would like more of all of them!

Aesthetically, generally I like half-lug better. Especially on Rugers.

I have always thought the full lug on my SP-101 in .357 was somewhat unattractive. Still like the gun very much, though. Over time this issue has meant less and less to me.

On the other hand, I have always really liked the half-lug on my SP-101 in .22lr.



I always like to have an ejector shroud, whatever the case. In that respect, I would rather have the ugly SP-101 lug than no lug at all. Even though a lot of the classic and very beautiful DA revolvers have no shroud whatsoever, I share the feeling that having one for the ejector rod's sake is a good thing to have.
