Unique ammo carrier design I found

Anybody know who made these? I have two of them, first one I got circa 1980 at a gun shop going out of business in NY state. Second one I found in a Craigs list sale of reloading stuff.

Can anyone shed light on who made these and if still available.

Even better they are great for waterproofing primers ten rounds at a time as they are positioned perfectly and keep the nail polish right where you need it the whole time and there is no handling the cases until ten are finished and removed one at a time to wipe off any excess.

I have some Federal ammo boxes I bought in the 1980s. The shells were in plastic holders with a slot at each end so 10 cartridges could be carried on a belt. I don't recognize your particular item but is it possible that it came in a cartridge box originally?

I do not know but I overheard some well informed shooters at a range talking about how nice they were for big cartridges, one of them said they came 'two to the box; problem, they claimed they had to purchase new ammo to get them. I have a set, complete with the fiber box they came in but I can not remember the name of the manufacturer.

I have two 5-shell holders that I've been using for decades. They appear to be made out of the same green poly-type material but have molded-in belt loops at either end. I think I got them as a sample for a new product back in the late 80s. I like them and would buy more if I could find them.

If you like I will go dig, again I have purchased ammo in the large cartridge containers, one manufacturer sold their ammo in two of these containers in one fiber sleeve. Normally I save the fiber box, problem, the fiber box does not last forever. Same for die boxes, I have lime and dark green fiber boxes from RCBS with dies and I have C&H counter display boxes with dies. The C&H boxes are from El Monte, California. The instructions are on the bottom of the box. Part of the instructions suggest the dies to be used with shell holders with a height of .125"; the box and dies were made in the mid '60s. I added the part about 'deck height' because reloaders were insisting the die and shell holder had to match.

Point: Had I not taken care of the box I could not prove C&H understood the relationship between the die and shell holder.

I also have containers with flip-top boxes that remind me of cigarette containers. The flip-top box holds 10 rounds.

I'll have to go up in the attic, I think I have one of these in a box of rifle cases I just recently put away.

I remember seeing those in the early 80’s. If I remember right there were two in a box of 20 cartridges. They could be placed on the pocket of your hunting vest. It was a better idea then the Federal packing that had the belt loops on the ends so that you could wear them on your belt.

I'm a compulsive dumpster diver....years ago, I found at the range, these cartridge holders in the trash. This was before the range stopped letting you pick up brass other than yours. I didn't have regular 'boxes' so I used the cardboard and plastic to hold the brass.

The green ones came from the military discards after they had finished hi-power long range practice. The green plastic was marked 7.62 for the M14.The red one is a Federal belt pack for 30-06. I have lite blue, dark blue and, kinda-sotra clear-white. One of the blue ones was put back in it's box from either Hornady or Nosler (some folks shot hi $$$ ammo).View attachment 803595 View attachment 803596

Why do the cases have holes in them?

I use them as my dummy rounds for dry fire practice. Primer pockets have RTV (10 yrs..takes a licking and keeps on ...)

Yup, new RTV improved over the old stuff I'm sure. All of my dummy "snap caps" use RTV, won't fall out or take perm. dent like other stuff.
