I've been excited about this for a while, and I just happened to have money to burn, so here I am to show off my little project. :D

(Sorry about the blurry pics)

Yes, I know my charging handle is missing. ;)

My upgrades include:
- Bravo Company 16" flat-top carbine upper (and matching BCM auto BCG)
- ARMS #40-L flip-up rear sight
- Knight's Armament M4 RAS rail system (ready for bells and whistles)
- Trijicon ACOG scope
- LaRue Tactial LT-100 throw-lever QD mount

My AR is set up exactly the way I wanted. It handles very nicely, with good balance, not front heavy like I expected, and it is surprisingly lightweight. The KAC rail system was a pain to install though. On the plus side, the ACOG is also a fantastic piece of harware, I can't wait to get some trigger time with it.

On an odd note, the LaRue QD mount came with steak rub. Pretty cool and so unexpected, time to throw some New York strip on the grill! :p

I'm also thinking of getting a Pelican 1700 rifle case (any suggestions on where to buy?). The cheapy Bushmaster hard case that came with the rifle just doesn't cut it anymore.

Very nice. How do you like the Knight's Armament rail system? How much was it?

Thanks for the comments guys!!

psp7304,

The Knight's Armament RAS is about as nice as any other top-shelf rail system (as far as non-free-floating ones go), and it is very lightweight, doesn't hardly contribute to any front-heavyness like I've experienced with other rail systems. The KAC rails are not cheap but if you shop around you can get a good deal on them.

I picked mine up off eBay for a tad over $200. Not a bad price, and although not in the picture, the rail system came with a whole set of different size rail covers and the vertical grip was included. Too bad it didn't come with a KAC supprressor. ;)

Guys, the LaRue mount did indeed come with a hat and a neat armadillo bottle opener, as well as a catalog. I just found it strange to receive steak rub with a scope mount! LOL

Dr. THW, I still have the old Bushy upper, not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet but may end up selling or using for trade.

LaRue is known for throwing some chotskies in with his orders. Some of it is pretty cool stuff, considering the price.

And yes, you need a CH.

Mike
