I keep seeing refernce to these like they are everywhere. Where are you guys finding these?

Around here the Used ones go for the same price as new ones sometimes they are marked 10-20$ less than new but thats it.

I have looked online however I have not seen anything less than 300 before transfer.

I am starting to think you guys are just making this stuff up. :uhoh:

Beaters go for $350 around here. The best deal was like new Gen2 21 with box and papers for $400. Some guy from GA found police trade .40 in top shape for $299. Wish I came upon one of those deals.

Hmmm well I guess I will have to look at something else then.

My local shop has G22s for 299, they are police trades.
While I appreciate the info that helps me none. Unless they have an online site I can order from do they have anything in 9mm or perferably .45?

I agree. I'm just not interested in the G-22 (.40). There are some really good buys on the G-22 LEO trades (just not for me)

Here is the best deal that I have been able to find. Though, there is a possibility that they are sold out!!

Sarco Firearms:

Like NIB, Glock Gen 2, G-17. 2, 17 round magazines, cleaning kit, and hard shell case for $350.00 plus S/H.

Sarco phone #: 610-250-3960

Hope this helps,

Gunner

The only time I've ever seen a $299 Glock it was a police trade in and I've seen them many times. The thing is you have to catch them when they happen and they are unannounced.

Thanks for the info guys. Thing is I already have a full sized .40 cal I am looking for something in 9mm or perferably .45 it seems only the trade ins are going for 350$+ which after transfer and shipping puts me closer to the 500$ it costs new and they are all .40 I will look into something else.

Thanks again for all the replies and attempting to help.

Dang where the heck you shopping that shipping and transfer costs $150? Shouldn't cost more than $15 to ship it and transfers can typically be found for $25 or less.

My local dealer charges 75$ per transfer add to that the shipping (say 20$) and its $445 not including taxes (not sure if taxes apply never orderd a firearm online).

At which point buying used online is only 10 +/- bucks cheaper than buying used in the store.

Sorry ebk the shop I go to has great prices but 9s go for 399 and 45s are all in the 400s. The 22s are the only glocks I have seen for less than 300. Sorry I couldn't help.

They can't be the only people in town doing transfers, and if they are I feel really sorry for anyone wanting to get a gun online in your area!

Gunbroker has an FFL search, that's how I found a guy in my area who does transfers out of his house for $20.

In my opinion, thats a terrible price to pay for a transfer. I don't know where you live, but you should be able to find someone much more reasonable.

My ffl charges $10.00 per gun. I realize that this is a great price (therefore, a bunch of folks use this guy) He is a retired AF guy. Once told me that he averages between 30 & 40 transfers a week. Not a bad way to supplement a GI pension.

No worries I appreciate the effort.

I live in the Cedar Rapids area.

I have checked the Find local FFL things on various sites. The nearest one to me on file that is reasonable (20$) is 45 minutes to an hour away and the only free time I have is on the weekend (my days off). Locally I have only found one dealer willing to do a transfer (Cedar Valley Outfitters) and he quoted me a price of 75$ per gun. I frequent this shop and he has good prices on most firearms (with the exception of glocks).

Anyway Thanks again everyone for trying to help. Cant win them all.

Used Glocks are getting scarce and are pulling decent money here. Just bought 3 G23 for $389 each with NS and 1 mag. Tried to get more but price is $415 for same thing but now they have 2 mags. G23 are easier to find and can get them for less money than G19. Can find conversion barrels for cheap about anywhere. Only thing you need to do is swap the barrel and mags and you are good to go. Nothing better than a G23 with a .22 kit also.
