a friend of mine is selling a used sig 226, he is a police officer and is willing to let it go for 350$.

he said he carried it every day almost for 2 years but only fired maybe 1000rounds thru it, for qualifications only.

there is no holster wear, and no noticable rattle in the slide to frame fit.

is that a good price?

I'd say buy it up. I think cdnn had some trade ins for $370 or so and they seemed to be selling pretty well, and that was the cheapest price I'd seen in a while.

RUN, GO IT NOW! DON'T DELAY~

An excellent buy, as I sell factory refurbed SIG P226's for $499. BTW,
SIGARMS customer service is world class; so if it were to develope a
problem, chances are really good that the good folk's at SIGARMS
would take care of it at NO COST to you.

It's a good price. If it's in excellent working condition I wouldn't hesitate to get it.

FWIW SIG Arms will only cover a SIG for one year after purchase with receipt. They cover NIB and CPO but not second owner SIGs. If you have a problem they'll repair it but they will charge you parts and labor. :)

I'm familiar with one case here where a THR member bought a used SIG
Trailside that developed problems soon after he took possession of it.
He sent it to SIGARMS for repair after he owned it for approximately
2 years; and SIGARMS repaired the defective weapon, and returned
it to him NO CHARGE. ;) :) :D

I've heard lots of good stories, and also lots of bad stories about Sig customer service... just do a search on Sigforum. It seems that your experience will just depend on what day you catch them on.

No you don't want to buy. You want to give your friend's contact info so that I can buy it. ;)

At that price I would most definitely snap it up.

I'm only going by my experience with a used P228. SIG Arms was clear that they would charge for parts and labor because I would be the second owner and it was out of warranty. If you call SIG Arms they'll also tell you that they will charge for parts and labor on used SIGs unless it's a CPO. I don't doubt that other people have had different experiences. :)

That's a terrible deal. You should tell him No Way, and then you should give me his contact information, phone number and address so I can berate him about abusing you so. I'd probably even take the gun from him just to prevent anyone else getting taken advantage of. :D ;)

350 bucks is a very good price for a slightly used sig.heck, 1000 rnds, its just warming up. I traded mine to a ffl for 400 and wish Ida kept it.durn good gun.
