I am looking at getting the Rossi matched set rifle/shotgun. The only thing is that it is single shot. Is that going to be a problem if used for hunting or plinking?

I hunt squirrels with my single barrel H&R 12 gauge. I haven't heard one complain yet. :D

Seriously though, a single shot is just fine for hunting. I have hunted since I was 12 and I can tell you that you rarely get a second shot at something you missed, and if you have shot more than three shots at it you might as well have saved your ammo.
All the successful kills I have had were only one shot or one shot and a finishing shot. Using a single shot wouldn't have been a detriment at all.
I would suggest that you look over the H&R rifles before you buy a Rossi. I don't know about the quality of the Rossis, but I do know that all the H&Rs I have shot worked well and that they can fit barrels to one gun in alot of different calibers.
Just a thought.

All you should need is one good shot.

You should be able to reload a non-muzzle-loader fairly quickly anyway.

Thompson Center has a handy wrist ammo holder.

You probably also have pockets.:)
