I it O.K. to use pulled copper bullets to reload.

Thank all of you

Did they sustain any damage the first time they were loaded (squeezing, etc.) or as they were pulled? If not, load 'em.

Well, I sell millions of them a year to guys that load them up and shoot them. I even have a couple master class shooters who use them in competitions and they even win from time to time.

I bought a lot of pulled 9mm pistol bullets a few years ago, cheap. Been shooting them here and there, maybe 3K so far. I pick out maybe 1 out of 500 that is just too deformed to load, but the rest are fine.

Yes it is, I have bought some before from LongDayJake from his site and they shoot just fine for my fathers .40 S&W and also for my .357 Mag. No problems encountered.

Longdayjake's pulled bullets work just like new ones in my 9, 380 and 40. Occasionally I'll pull my mistakes and they shoot well too.

Depends on where you got them from.

If you got from a reputable dealer like Jake @ RMRbullets.
Ya sure, go ahead & load 'em up & fire 'em.

If you got 'em from your friend down the street, why are they pulled?
Do they have excessive pull marks?

I bought a thousand pulled mil surp 175 grain from Hi-Tech ammo earlier this year and have been very pleased...wish I had bought 5000.

Just be aware they may not be as accurate as fresh bullets, also be sure they are not out of round or otherwise damaged. Saying they are "pulled" can cover a LOT of territory. Otherwise they will load and shoot just fine. I use a lot of pulled bullets for plinking ammo.

Some lots of ammo do not meet the purchasers specs. ( U.S.Military) The lot is sold at auction. The ammo is broken down into it's individual components, case, powder, projectile and sold to reloadaholic bottomfeeders like me.

As an experiment, I once dug up the impact area at a local range and scrounged up all the fired .45 ACP FMJ bullets I could find. There were a pile of 'em. I cleaned them in a tumbler, culled out the really beat up ones and used the 'good' ones for reloading. Okay, they didn't shoot 50 yard X-ring groups, but I didn't either. They did serve well for regular defense practice.

So, if shot bullets can be 'adequate' for defense and plinking accuracy, I have no concerns about properly pulled bullets. I'm still a lot of the .30 caliber 174 FMJ match bullets - pulled - and they shoot rather tightly when I'm up to speed.
